Who will I help?

Basic access to IT is easy to take for granted – quickly Googling the answer to a question, popping someone an email or printing off a train ticket.

However, for many adults living in the UK getting to grips with technology brings continual challenges.

Over the last five years through their regular drop-in sessions and classes, Inspire has helped hundreds of local Southwark residents learn the fundamentals of how to use their tablets and devices.

How will I help?

The sessions are for beginners who have very basic understanding of how to use tablets. You don't have to be a tech expert at all, just willing to share your understanding of the technologies you use every day! All we ask for is a grasp of the basics and a little empathy and patience! You are likely to be working with a service user on a 1:1 basis and might end up:

• Supporting them in getting to grips with using apps on their tablets
• Showing them how to use web-services (e.g. email / social media)
• Helping them resolve basic issues with their devices

It will provide an excellent opportunity to share your skills you take for granted and open up peoples’ worlds to the joys of technology!
