Up to 10 volunteers needed

Who will I help?

Would you just want to live off tinned sweetcorn and peaches?

St. Raphael’s Garden is a new food growing project run by SUFRA NW London, a community food bank and kitchen in the borough of Brent. They involve the community in growing fruit and vegetables, seasonal fresh produce, that is then offered to food bank guests.

How will I help?

You’re volunteering might involve some hard physical work but it will be well worth it. You’ll be supporting regular volunteers from the local community to tend their edible garden.

What you’re likely to get involved in:

• Watering and weeding the crops
• Planting seeds and harvesting fruit and veg
• Learning new gardening skills

The tasks that need doing will vary depending on the season but the garden coordinator will be on hand to point you in the right direction and get you set up.
